27-year-old male from Sobieski, Wisconsin

Charges on Suspect:

Operating a vessel with a blood alcohol level greater than .08

Narrative:

Sheriff Daniel E. Abbott reports that Marine Deputies were on routine patrol on the waters of Round Lake in Keeler Township. Deputies stopped a vessel to conduct a safety inspection. During the stop it was found that the operator was under the influence of alcohol. The vessel operator was subsequently arrested and lodged at the Van Buren County Jail. The vessel was safely taken to owner’s dock by the Marine Deputies. There were 8 additional passengers on board the vessel. The name of the vessel operator is being withheld pending arraignment.
