September 30, 2019 at approximately 17:05 hrs

LOCATION:

49000 Block of County Road 384, Columbia Township

VICTIM:

53year old man from Grand Junction Michigan

NARRATIVE:

Sheriff Daniel E. Abbott reports that on Monday September 30, 2019 at approximate 1705 hours Van Buren County Deputies were dispatched to a residence in the 49000 block of County Road 384 in Columbia Township, for a report that someone had been shot. Upon arrival, Deputies found one male subject who had sustained a single gunshot wound. Lifesaving efforts were continued by rescue staff, however were ultimately unsuccessful as the subject succumbed to his injury while on scene. The other involved parties were also still on scene and accounted for. The circumstances of this incident remain under investigation.
