On 1/6/19 around 1700 hours, a deputy was called to investigate two adult males who appeared to be intoxicated and actively consuming alcohol at a park where 5 young children were present.  A deputy located the suspect vehicle parked in a driveway moments after it left the park about a ½ mile down the road.  The driver and passenger were actively consuming alcohol as the deputy arrived and children were still observed climbing out of the back seat.  The driver was found to be intoxicated and very uncooperative and refused all roadside evaluations.  After investigation, the driver was arrested for five counts of Operating While Intoxicated-Child Endangerment and transporting open alcohol containers.  A search warrant was then obtained for the driver’s blood after he refused to provide a breath sample at the jail.  The driver was later charged with Resisting and Obstructing the investigation because of his actions at the hospital.
