Three separate properties were targeted in the area
A 21 year old male from the Grand Junction area (name withheld pending arraignment)
Charges: Two counts of Larceny from a motor vehicle, and larceny less than $200
A 20 year old male from the Holland area (name withheld pending arraignment)
Charges: Two counts of Larceny from a motor vehicle
An 18 year old male from the Holland area (name withheld pending arraignment)
Charges: Two counts of Larceny from a motor vehicle, Breaking and Entering a Motor vehicle
Sheriff Daniel E. Abbott reports that on 1/13/19 around 0815 hours, a Van Buren County deputy responded to the 04000 Block of 48 ½ St in Columbia Township for a report of a break in of a work trailer. The caller advised that his work trailer had been broken into during the night and items were missing. During the investigation, it was discovered that the suspects also broke into another vehicle at a separate residence and stole an additional item from a third residence. The suspects were located at a home nearby. As a result of this investigation, three males were taken into custody. All of the stolen items were recovered at the suspects home and returned to the rightful owners. All three suspects are facing felony charges and are being held with no bond pending arraignment.
