Narcotics search warrant 4075-18 6/24/18

Nature of Incident:  NARCOTICS SEARCH WARRANT AND FUGATIVE ARREST

Incident #:   4075-18

Date & Time:    Sunday, June 24th, 2018 at 0530 A.M.

Location:     200 Block of Main Street, Lawton Village

Narrative: 

Sheriff Daniel E Abbott reports that on Sunday June 24th at 5:30 A.M. Deputies with the Uniform Response Division received information that a fugitive wanted for possession of methamphetamine was distributing narcotics in the 200 block of N Main Street in Lawton, Michigan. Deputies followed up on the information and obtained a search warrant for the residence.

Deputies executed the search warrant around 6:30 A.M. and located the wanted subject, Joseph Featherstone inside the residence along with two other females. Also located in the residence were several items for the use and distribution of methamphetamine. The investigation is ongoing and once completed it will be forwarded to the Van Buren County prosecutor for review. Joseph Featherstone was arrested on outstanding warrants only.

Suspect:   Joseph Edward Featherston 28 Year old Male                                                          

Charges:  Possession of Methamphetamine

Assisting Agencies:  Michigan State Police, Lawton Police Department
