Homicide Investigation 4022-18 6/21/18

Incident Type:  Homicide

Date/ Time: Thursday, June 21, 2018, approx. 2215 hours   

Venue:  31000 Block of Brandywine Rd, Gobles MI 49055

Suspect 1:   Troy Lee Taylor, w/m, age 38.

Victim:

An adult male from Kalamazoo. Name withheld pending notification of family.

Information: 

Sheriff Daniel Abbott reports that the Van Buren County Sheriff’s investigators along with investigators from the Van Buren County Major Crimes Task Force are actively investigating the homicide of a Kalamazoo man.

The homicide occurred at a residence in Pine Grove Township.

The suspect was identified as 38-year-old Troy Lee Taylor from the Bloomingdale area.  Taylor is presumed armed and dangerous.  Taylor has ties in Van Buren County, Berrien County and St Joseph County Indiana.  Taylor was last seen driving an early 2000’s model BMW, silver in color, the license plate number is not known. The vehicle is also reported to have a front window that is broken possibly the driver’s side.  Photos of the vehicle and wanted subject are attached.  The Sheriff’s Office ask that if you see this person or vehicle to call 911 immediately.
