Search Warrant leading to possesion of Meth, Cocaine and Marijuana

Nature of Incident:  Search Warrant,Possession of Meth,Possession of cocaine, Possession of marijuana

Incident #:   1982-18

Date & Time:  04/02/2018 at 11:30 P.M.

Location: 43000 Block of M-43, Waverly Township, Van Buren County

Narrative: 

Sheriff Daniel E Abbott reports that on 04/02/2018 Deputies were sent to the area of 28th avenue and 44th street for a vehicle that had crashed in a ditch and the occupants had fled the area. After getting the vehicle information from the crash site deputies went to the registered owners address in the 43000 blk of M43. Deputies made contact at the residence and a male came to the door who appeared under the influence of narcotics. Deputies continued their investigation and noticed several items in the house related to narcotic use. A search warrant was obtained, and a large amount of suspected cocaine, suspected methamphetamine, and marijuana were located inside of the house. Deputies interviewed the occupants of the house and will forward the case to the Van Buren County prosecutor when the investigation is complete. If the public has any information that can assist the Sheriff’s Office in this case they are encouraged to call the Van Buren County Sheriff’s Office, Crime Stoppers, or Silent Observer.

Suspects:        1) A 20 year old male, from Paw Paw(Name withheld pending authorization of charges)               

                        2) A 20 year old female, from Paw Paw(Name withheld pending authorization of charges)

Charges:  Possession of cocaine. Possession of methamphetamine, Possession of marijuana
