Driver-Ronald  Mcnally  07/06/1959 (Arrested)

Passenger- 61 Y/F Name released pending arraignment    


Sheriff Daniel E. Abbott reports on the date of 03/31/2018 deputies attempted to initiate a traffic stop on a vehicle for an traffic violations. The driver Fled leading deputies on a short pursuit before crashing at the intersection of 46th street and County Road 388. The vehicle hit several tress causing a large amount of damage to the vehicle. The driver Ronald Mcnally was arrested for Fleeing and Eluding, No Insurance and several outstanding warrants for his arrest. After deputies arrested the driver Ronald Mcnally they went back to deal with the passenger. After speaking with the passenger and asking if the passenger needed medical attention the passenger became violent and swung at the deputy almost striking the deputy in the face. The passenger was arrested for attempting to assault a police officer and was lodged at the Van Buren County Jail. Ems did check on both the driver and passenger before they were lodged at the Van Buren County Jail. The report will be forwarded to the prosecutor for review on charges.
