Sheriff Daniel E. Abbott reports on the date of 03/07/2018 Van Buren County Deputies were dispatched to the report of a prowler. The caller stated someone was looking in their residences windows, the suspect then attempted to break into their vehicle and their garage. Deputies arrived on scene to investigate and were able to follow the suspects footprints in the snow. While in the area Deputies observed a subject dressed in all black carrying a shovel, when Deputies attempted to make contact, the subject fled on foot.
