Sheriff Daniel E. Abbott reports that Van Buren County Deputies were dispatched to McCarthys North 40 bar for a Breaking and Entering complaint. Upon arrival deputies were advised that unknown subjects broke into the bar and stole an undisclosed amount of money. Deputies noticed that several areas of the bar had cameras and some of the wires had been cut. Deputies along with detectives were able to use some of the camera footage and could see that two subjects entered into the bar with bandanas over their faces and were wearing matching shirts. The subjects quickly disabled the alarm and caused a large amount of damage. Deputies are looking for information on the unique sweat shirts that they were wearing. These sweatshirts also have a tag on the back side of the shirt that appears to be unique. Anyone with information is asked to call the Van Buren County Sheriff’s Office at 657-3101.
