Vehicle:  Oldsmobile Bravada SUV

Driver:  32-year-old female from the Paw Paw Area

Injuries: Lower Leg Injuries

Seat Belt Use:  NO

Contributing Factor:  SPEED

Alcohol/Drugs:  NO


Sheriff Daniel E. Abbott reports that Deputies were dispatched to M-40 Highway near 31st Street for a single vehicle roll-over crash, where the driver was pinned.  Deputies responded to this location along with several other agencies and Fire and Rescue.  Upon arrival Deputies immediately noticed that the driver was pinned under the vehicle by her leg.  No other apparent injuries were visible and the Driver was conscious and talking.  Lawton Fire and Rescue responded and were able to lift the SUV off the driver using air bags, so she could be safely removed from under the SUV.  The Driver was transported by VBEMS to Bronson Methodist for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.  The incident is currently under investigation it appears at this time the main contributing factor was speed.  Alcohol and drugs do not appear to be a factor.
