Sheriff Dan Abbott reports that on Sunday May 28, 2017 at approximately 2:55 pm Deputies along with Medical Personnel were dispatched to the dead-end of Harmony Lane, Breedsville for a 911 call reporting a motorcycle accident with injuries.
Upon Deputies arrival a 51 Year Old Grand Junction resident was found to be laying on the ground next to a entrance of a blueberry field. The Driver was found to have significant injuries. Investigation determined that the Driver was preparing to enter a Private Blueberry Field when the All-Purpose electric Motorcycle lost traction in some mud ejecting the driver from the motorcycle. Air Care was summoned to the scene were the driver was airlifted to Borgess Medical Center for his injuries. Alcohol does appear to be a contributing factor in the crash. Deputies were assisted by Pride Care Ambulance, Columbia Fire Department and Air Care.
